Dell Video Chat

dell-video-chat.jpgI was recently asked to write a review of the new Dell Video Chat software created by SightSpeed.  Dell Video Chat is loaded onto all new Dell computers.  I am going to break it into two parts, my initial thoughts on it and I will write a more in depth review after I have had a chance to test in more.

Well my initial thoughts are mostly positive.  I was able to easily initiate and answer video calls and the one call that stands out is a chat I had with a friend who was sitting at an airport connected to the wifi there.  He said the connection was decent but the audio and video I had was fantastic.  I was very impressed with the quality and plan to use it Dell Video Chat again.

I have one complaint about the service and hope it’s something that is able to be fixed.  I might be spoiled from other services, but I wish it was easier to connect with others.  I can not search for their name or email address, I just have to email them and wait to see if they are already on the service or if they decide to join.

Anyways, those are my first thoughts.  Just so it’s clear, I would suggest Sell Video Chat to anyone who wants a clear, high quality experience, especially if the bandwidth is limited.
