I’ve been using Verizons Nokia 6205 for a few months now

nokia-6205-open.jpgSo the nice people at Verizon sent me out a Nokia 6205 Dark Knight Edition a few months back for review.  I have been using it a bit and have some thoughts on it.  Some good and some just ok.

Let’s start with the positive.  Keep in mind this is a pretty basic device.  It is a decent size with good sound quality.  The screen and keyboard are both ok.  Nothing to write home about but nothing to complain about either.  The positive is, is that the battery is excellent, with medium use I was still able to get 5 days out of it.   The 6205 also has a built in MP3 player (which I could not get working) with 58meg of built in memory and takes a Micro SD card up to 4 gig (according to Nokia, I only have 2 gig cards so I could not test it’s max), which you can load up with music and what not.  It comes with bluetooth and speakerphone.  It also has a 1.3 megapixel camera.

On the down side, and this is only personal because the phone is really quite competent.  I get bored with phones that don’t help make my life easier.  My only real problem was the MP3 player which was useless to me because I could not get it working.  So as a whole and as for what this phone is advertised it’s pretty good.  I have recommended it to a few people who are in the market for a new Verizon handset.
