What’s going on with Nokia Downloads? I went to check to see if there was anything new on there last night, like maybe the business card scanner I’ve been waiting for for what seems like an eternity already. What I saw was that the App will be down this weekend, Nov. 8 and 9. I find this very interesting, what is going on? Is Nokia going to launch an app store similar to Apples? Maybe something like the new RIM BB app store? What’s going on? I haven’t heard anything on Twitter or Jaiku but I also haven’t cleared my RSS in a while. Can somebody comment please?
I hope we see what we’ve been waiting for, a place to find, purchase, and triel new and old S60 apps. I also hope has a special Beta Labs section. I will be waiting with baited breath this Sunday.

While I really don’t know about the Download app (but hope your dreams - and mine - may finally come true), if you really need a business card reader google for Abbyy Business card reader. They’ve been doing OCR for a while and the app works, well not flawlessly, but still saves a lot of time.
